Magpie – 55ft Traditional Colecraft Narrowboat 2008 is a wonderful example of Colecraft quality, both inside and out. She is beautifully fitted out in ash and oak, and her paintwork is in excellent condition.
Built in September 2008, she has had the same owner since new who has looked after her as she deserves. Magpie boasts both comfort and style, with storage a-plenty.
The well deck with cratch cover is 5’ long, and has a collapsible table in between two comfortable bench seats for alfresco dining.
Through the stable doors into the saloon. A charming room, with a combination of window styles and beautiful woodwork. There are two reclining leather armchairs with footstool, a Squirrel stove, a drop down wall mounted table and TV / music centre.
The dinette follows and has good storage both under the floor and seats. There are also leads under and speakers fitted for laptop music.
The galley is delightfully planned. Lots of cupboard and drawer space, a side hatch over the double sink, and there is even an integral bread bin behind the sinks. The galley houses the gas hob & grill and the oven, together with the washing machine and fridge.
Into the walkthrough bathroom. The macerator pump out loo is housed neatly behind the door, and the quadrant shower is a good size at 2’8”. The ceramic basin and towel rail are on the other side of the room.
The bedroom follows. Copious storage in here with two wardrobes, each with shelving inside as well, drawers under the cross over bed, and beautifully crafted cupboards over the bed in an arch shape. The heating and inverter controls are within easy reach of the bed head.
Steps lead up into the stern cabin which houses the spotlessly clean Beta Marine engine bay and various instrument & electrical panels.
The central heating is through Fin Rads off the Webasto, and 230v power is supplied by the 3kw Victron inverter.
