IVAR is an August 1996 45ft semi traditional style narrowboat. She was built and fitted out by Stenson and has since had some modifications by the current owner who has repainted her, reblacked her, replaced the anodes and batteries in March 2017, and also put in a new oak effect laminate floor throughout this 45ft semi traditional style narrowboat. A new Hobitt stove has also been installed. She has been well looked after and is in good condition.
A good sized well deck, with a cratch cover which is in excellent condition, doors lead into the open plan saloon which has the stove, a radiator and two comfy chairs.
Through into the very practically laid out galley housing the sink, fridge, 4 burner gas hob with oven and grill, and various cupboards. A side hatch with roof opening (with canvass cover for winter) is at the end of the galley.
Into the corridor from which you enter the bathroom. A good sized room for a boat of this size, hosting a Thetford macerator pump out loo, a hip bath with curtained shower over, and an oval basin over a cupboard.
The bed is a fixed double 6’4” in length with PO tank and other storage beneath, and there is a good size wardrobe at the foot of the bed.
A spacious stern deck over the engine room (Lister Petta 3 cylinder) with a charming navigation stool in the boat’s design. There is a locker on the stern deck portside, and two further seats for crew.
The boat has an Eberspacher diesel fired heating system. This has not been used for two years since the stove was installed and will need testing.
There was solar power installed on Ivar. Storm Doris made off with the panels. So they are no longer there but the wiring etc is!
