Butty Echoes 60ft
Echoes is a 60ft Butty. Originally built in 1999 by Arnold & Pickett as a 33’ craft known as ‘Beth’s Butty’, she was bought in 2010 by her current owners and extended in 2015 to 60’ by the well known Paul Barber. He added 20’ in the middle of the boat and added the stern cabin. The paintwork is in very good condition, she has been blacked every year, and she has a steel elum.
In recent years she has served as the gift shop butty with the stunning motor boat Eclipse (see separate listing).
They look absolutely perfect together as the photographs show.
They are both currently on the market with Rugby Boats Ltd and a reduced price is being offered of £85,000 for the pair together. (£92,000 combined individual prices).
The boatman’s cabin is a good size at over 12’ long, and is traditional both in feel and fit out. The range is fully functioning and the bed is a boatman’s cabin style cross bed. Plenty of cupboard & storage space in here. There are 2 12v lights in here powered of one battery which is charged by a 10w solar panel.
On the subject of storage, the rest of the boat follows! An 8’ workshop follows from the stern cabin which has a work bench in it, and then the enormous 30’ hold. The canvas sides roll up on either side for canal side trading. There is a large 3’ deep storage hold / dry locker in the bows and a 6.8kw diesel generator which works, but needs some attention.
Butty Echoes 60ft offers a good opportunity to acquire either a well maintained 60’ butty, or a beautiful pair of matching boats.
