Badger – 55ft Cruiser stern narrowboat 2000 – is a really charming boat. She was built in 2000 by Floating Homes, and has been well looked after by the current owners for the last 16 years.
She is a 55ft cruiser stern narrowboat, is in lovely condition and has the feel of a floating country cottage.
From the well deck into the open plan 13ft saloon. The only fixed piece of furniture in here is the Hothome solid fuel stove, new in October 2016. The rest of this room houses two comfortable rocking armchairs and a freestanding circular pine dining table with 4 chairs.
The 230v TV with freesat is in the corner opposite the stove.
The galley follows with a huge side hatch, a 12v fridge and 4 burner gas hob and oven / grill.
On leaving the galley into the corridor there is a floor to ceiling larder cupboard before arriving at the bathroom. This has a spacious shower, the cassette loo (with 3 cassettes) and a ceramic basin over vanity unit. There is a good sized linen / towel cupboard over the basin.
In the corridor after the bathroom one passes a floor to ceiling wardrobe before coming into the bedroom. Lots of storage in here. Under the bed there are three drawers, the rest of it being open storage. There are shelves at the foot of the bed along with a bank of three cupboards (one shelves, one wardrobe and one electrics / hanging space). The wardrobe and shelf cupboard goes down to knee height, under which there is further open storage.
The engine is a Perkins Prima type, and the central heating is the ever popular diesel fired Webasto.
The 6’ 4” cruiser stern has the gas locker / bench seat and two taff rail cruising seats.
Badger – 55ft Cruiser stern narrowboat 2000 is a delightful, cosy boat, which is ready to go!
