Badger – 1993 – 60ft Traditional Stowe Hill narrowboat.
Badger is a Traditional style 60’ narrowboat built and fitted out in 1993 by the reputable Stowe Hill boat builders.
The well deck is large at 6ft (as long as many cruiser sterns) and has two good sized bench seats / storage lockers with a table for alfresco dining / cards etc in between the two.
Down into the large 15’ saloon which houses a two seater leather sofa, a leather swivel captains armchair and a Morso squirrel stove. There is an 18” TV together with with all the various radio, DVD and CD appliances which one could need. Plenty of shelving space in here, along with a good sized table which folds away under the gunwale. A houdini hatch in here also provides additional light and ventilation.
Into the galley which has a 4 gas burner drop in cooker, oven & grill. Good cupboard space under the work tops and a 12v fridge with ice box. There is a side hatch in the galley as well.
The bathroom follows with a radiator, a stylish circular countertop glass basin, a pumpout drop though loo and a really spacious shower (nearly 3ft wide) with a glass bi-fold door.
Down the corridor, passing a large floor to ceiling cupboard, into the bedroom. This has a fixed 6’x4’ double bed with storage under and an opening pigeon box over, and a large cupboard and double wardrobe at the foot of the bed.
The stern cabin, which gives easy access to the stern deck, houses the Perkins MC42 engine, the battery bank and the various electrical systems & inverter. There are tools a-plenty in here, and even a drop down table / work bench.
Heating on board is through the Eberspacher diesel fired fin rads.
