£99,950. 61ft 9in x 11ft 6in replica Bridgewater Canal "Duker" barge. Built in 1996 by Tayberg Steel Boats of Brighouse, Yorkshire, this barge is a replica of the six barges built for the Bridgewater Canal Co by Pimblott's of Northwich in 1951/2 (although those were a little longer - between 69ft and 72ft according to my research). Originally 50ft the present owner had the boat lengthened and it now makes a superb floating home. It does cruise from time to time - Parglena has been out of the Thames Estuary and up Essex rivers such as the Crouch for example. It is ideally equipped for longer term cruising, featuring a built in Beta Marine diesel powered 6kVA genset and a pair of 2.5kW inverter/charger units. All mod cons are fitted: washer drier, fridge freezer, gas cooking. The condition of this boat is superb both in and out. The woodwork, by an employee of boatbuilders Pickwell and Arnold, is first class condition with extensive use of ash throughout. Apart from a multi fuel stove in the saloon, there is diesel fired central heating throughout and a wall mounted 2 kW diesel stove in the aft cabin bathroom area. A fantastic home and also a great cruising boat for our larger waterways and anywhere on the continent, driven along by a chunky Ford D6 6 cylinder 120hp diesel engine.

sold £32,500 50ft x 12ft Dutch Harbour Tug. 1930s harbour tug constructed from riveted steel plate. The boat has subsequently been overplated where necessary. The owner, a boatbuilder, has replaced the original engine with a Kelvin T3 3 cylinder unit, and done a great deal of work to bring this fine vessel back to an original standard, including replacing the wheelhouse. There is a new water tank fitted. Below decks there is a fore cabin with bench seats either side, and in the aft cabin there is considerable space. The tug is ready for a new owner to finish the interior to their taste.

under offer£20,000 to be sold as seen. Family illness has caused the owners to have to leave the boat. 61ft 6in x 14ft 6in Humber Keel. c.1937. Built by Henry Scarr at Hessle, on the Humber Estuary, this is a classic Humber keel built to the dimensions of the Sheffield and South Yorkshire Navigation. The boat is currently in Belgium, close to the channel coast. The owners have had the boat for a good number of years and have used it for cruising on the continent and as their home. The propulsion comes from a Perkins 6.305 90hp six cylinder diesel. A separate Perkins 4.108 forms a 4.5kVA generator set. A Somy diesel fired boiler provides central heating and hot water. There is gas cooking. The wc is an electric flush pump out and/or sea toilet. The boat was originally sailed across to the continent. It is understood the moorings, which have mains electricity and a phone line, may be retained by the buyer. The owners advise that the annual mooring charge is currently €350 per annum.

£115,000 15.85m x 3.0m (52ft x 9ft 10in) Luxemotor. 1927. Air draught 3.20m (10ft 6in) with wheelhouse up, 2.59m (8ft 5in) with wheelhouse down. This superbly converted Luxemotor has been refitted by the master craftsman owner to a very high standard with great attention to detail. The original captain's cabin has been retained in the stern and there are numerous original features to delight the enthusiast of these Dutch barges. The owner had a full pre-purchase hull survey by Duursma Scheep Expertise, regarded as one of the Netherlands' leading surveyors when he acquired the boat in 2005. DOWNLOAD SPEC SHEET.
